The Canadian Institutes of Health Research recently funded a public forum entitled “What a Pain! Debate Around the Use of Opioids in Chronic Pain Management”.
The Café Scientifique held in Hamilton, Ontario was hosted by the Michael G. De Groote National Pain Centre and moderated by Dr. Norm Buckley. Other panelists included Dr. Andrea Furlan, Physiatrist, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and Dr. Beth Sproule, Pharmacist, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
The audience had interesting and pertinent questions regarding the use of opioids in the management of chronic pain.
