Print PagePrint PageSend by emailSend by email

Researchers at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital are conducting a research study on youth’s experiences of winter.

Who can participate?

They are looking for youth aged 12-19 who use a wheelchair

What’s involved?

Over a period of 2 weeks researchers will ask youth to take photos and keep a journal of their everyday experiences of how they get around in a wheelchair in the winter time. This can be completed at a time of your convenience. We will then collect the photos and journal and ask you more about these experiences in an interview (approx. 1 hour).

What are the benefits of participating?

  • A $20 gift card
  • Volunteer hours (if requested)
  • To help to improve our understanding of the challenges youth face while using a wheelchair in the winter and to inform the development of devices and policies.
