FEATURED ARTIST PROFILE

Learn about our July artist, Emma St. Aubin from Welland:

1. How did you come up with the idea for this drawing that is included inside the calendar.

I came up with this idea from thinking about my favourite sports and I wanted people to know no matter what our abilities, we should always try our best.

2. Why do you like drawing/painting or taking pictures?

I like creating/crafting more than drawing & painting  because I can use my hands more.

3. How did you feel when you heard your artwork was selected for the TGIF Calendar?

I felt proud and happy.

4. How has the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario assisted you and/or your family?

SB&H provided us with so many great resources over the years such as information to share with Emma’s school so that it helps to explain her condition to her teachers, excellent books ("Detour Ahead" was one of our favourites) and other information to assist through various ages and stages.  SB&H helps to keep our whole family healthy through the YMCA program and they've supported our family countless other ways with answering inquiries or offering to connect us with other families.
