Default Do you have enough Folic acid in your system?

How do I actually know if I am taking in the needed amount of Folic acid? Is there a test I can take or something similar?

Are you pregnant or simply looking for your own health? Of course your nutrient needs go up when you are pregnant and making sure you are getting enough folic acid is paramount to ensuring you don't run into problems with spina bifida and hydro cephalus . Anyway, I don't have the exact numbers here in front of me, but your general practioner or OB-GYN will be able to tell you. Just make sure that you are eating a well balanced diet and are taking a supplement if your doctor believes it's necessary and you should be covered.

If you experience symptoms such as anemia and gastritis, you should probably check a doctor and get a real diagnosis.

Yes that's right. You should see a doctor and he/she will tell what to do in this cause.

I agree with the other answers. Even if bloodwork shows "normal" levels, if you are still concerned or feel anemic or sick you should see a doctor.

I think if you are taking your vitamins once a day, you should be getting the recommended dose. However, if you are not content with that the daily vitamin; you may want to seek medical attention. They may be able to do some blood work to inform you better of your levels. Then your mind can be at ease.

Well that depends on your current state basmae. Are you eating enough collard greens, green peas, and fruits like apples. If you are not then you would be in some serious trouble.
