When I was pregnant I took 400 mcg. I also took folic acid prior to pregnancy because I knew I was trying to conceive. I think this is the standard amount required and recommended by most doctors.

my guess would be that this is certainly a relative question that would certainly differ from individual to individual and the best advice is to seek proper medical counseling before taking any of the drugs.
