Default Fatigue after breakfast

Do you or your child have extra fatigue after eating the first meal of the day? My son gets very tired after his breakfast. He wants to take a nap. I have to always explain to him that he just woke up and he can't sleep until night time. I wonder how long this is going to go on.

My sister deals with this with her son. He is always tired. He grew out of this in his late teen years. he does get bouts of tiredness sometimes though.

Continue to monitor if this behavior goes on for the next week or so. Sometimes it is just normal for children to experience fatigue in the morning after a long night of sleep. Ask your child's doctor for more information.

My nephew often complains of being tired. My brother and his wife don't discourage him when he wants to lay down and take a nap. It seems to help soothe him and keep down his pain and other symptoms. He doesn't experiene the fatigue with any real regularity, like after meals and such, but if he complains about being tired, no matter if it's 8 in the morning or 8 at night, she lets him take a nap. Everything seems to work out well for them this way.
