Meet our February artist, Jared Black from Toronto:

1. How did you come up with the idea for this drawing that is included inside the calendar.

This picture was taken in Alberta enroute to Yellowstone. We were in the middle of nowhere when I saw this unique moss-covered shack, and I felt I needed to take the shot.

2. Why do you like drawing/painting or taking pictures?

I enjoy the creativity and challenge of composing a great image from my perspective. I never pass up an opportunity to get a good shot even if it means getting out of my wheelchair and laying on the ground to get it.

3. How did you feel when you heard your artwork was selected for the TGIF Calendar?

I am honoured to once again be featured as part of the TGIF calendar.

4. How has the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario assisted you and/or your family?

In the past I took part in the SB&H Association's Taster’s Club as a way to meet people and share common interests. Taster’s Club provides an outlet for people in similar situations to meet and socialize at a variety of restaurants around the city.
